Egypt’s hospitality industry is set for a major boost as Sunrise Hotels & Resorts partners with global hospitality giant Minor International to launch and manage 50 new hotels across Egypt. Learn how this strategic collaboration supports Egypt’s tourism growth and investment vision.

🇪🇬 Egypt Accelerates Hotel Expansion to Boost Tourism Industry

In a landmark move to strengthen Egypt’s position as one of the world’s top travel destinations, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly witnessed the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between Sunrise Hotels & Resorts Group and Minor International Hospitality Group, one of the largest global hotel operators and owner of iconic brands such as Anantara.

The agreement sets in motion an ambitious expansion plan to open and manage 50 new hotels in Egypt, marking one of the most significant hospitality investments in the country’s recent history.

🤝 Strategic Alliance to Drive Tourism Growth

The partnership was formalized by Mr. Hossam Al Shaer, Chairman of Sunrise Hotels & Resorts, and Mr. William E. Heinecke, Chairman of Minor International, during a ceremony attended by Mr. Sherif Fathy, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.

Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Madbouly emphasized that tourism investment is a key pillar of Egypt’s national economic strategy, and expanding the number of hotel rooms is a top priority. By collaborating with leading domestic and international partners, Egypt aims to enhance its infrastructure and capacity to welcome millions more visitors from around the world.

“We are committed to significantly increasing Egypt’s hotel capacity in partnership with both local and global private sectors. This expansion is essential to support the growing demand and strengthen the country’s position as a world-class tourist destination,” said Dr. Madbouly.
