Catacombs of Kom el-Shuqqafa

The catacombs are accessed through a rounded entrance that leads to the various levels of burial chambers, which are carved directly into the bedrock, extending to a depth of approximately 35 meters. While the third level of the catacombs is currently flooded due to groundwater leaks and remains inaccessible to visitors, the accessible levels offer a fascinating glimpse into ancient burial practices and beliefs.
